The Keep at Andelain Farm (hereafter referred to as The Keep) is a non-profit IRS certified 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization (donations to The Keep are tax deductible). The Keep is focused on raising awareness of, and providing rescue, sanctuary and treatment for unwanted horses. Many horses are brought to the equine sanctuary from auction and owner surrender, The Keep gives these horses a second chance and they give back in specialized programs.
“The Keep” is a metaphor for “a keep,” which was a fortress built for protection inside of a castle’s walls. It was the most protected part of the castle. The Keep, founded by Wendy Moulton in 2003, is an equine sanctuary focusing on Foundational Horsemanship in a safety driven, yet relaxed environment, with rescued horses from the local community.
